Takeover-check handling for new MetroClusters connection check

NetApp MetroClusters have a new check for connections which assists with showing the results of connections for nodes. This check was introduced with the v9.4 DataONTAP release to check the connection of MetroCluster over IP partner nodes, and includes checks for the partner cluster and configuration settings, network endpoints, MTU sizes and subnets, and storage daemons. The check_netapp_takeover.pl script, which is an umbrella check handling several others from check_netapp_pro , has been flagged as having unexpected issues with handling this new MetroCluster connection check for some customers. This only affects users who have upgraded to DataONTAP 9.4 and are using the takeover script with the integrated MC connections check.

> check_netapp_takeover.pl -H HOST … NETAPP_TAKEOVER UNKNOWN - node HOST-01 connected (ha mode): The the storage failover facility is enabled. Takeover of partner is possible. Takeover by partner is possible. node HOST-02 connected (ha mode): The the storage failover facility is enabled. Takeover of partner is possible. Takeover by partner is possible. mc-nodes ok mc-lifs ok mc-config_replication ok mc-aggregates ok mc-clusters ok mc-connections not_applicable

A fix for this has been implemented and will be shipped, along with new features and enhancements to accommodate the upcoming DataONTAP release, in the next stable version of check_netapp_pro . However, any customer who needs this earlier can contact us directly for a beta-release workaround, for either 3.x or 4.x installs, and they will be provided with a backport fix applicable to their particular situation. Please note that the backported Q-portal fixes are unstable and will require check_netapp_pro  consultation to install.
